Privacy

Your files stay on your Mac.

Nothing is uploaded, and you don’t need an account.

Converted right where they are.

Every file is converted on your Mac, scanned PDFs included. Nothing leaves it, not even the list of what you converted (Activity).

Photos keep their details.

A converted photo keeps the date and place it was taken. To leave out the place, turn on Remove location from photos in settings.

Only the folders you choose.

Renamable watches your Desktop and Downloads, after you allow it when macOS asks. Add or remove folders in Folders.

One quick check a day.

Renamable asks us if there’s a newer version. It sends its version number and your IP address (like visiting any website), nothing about you or your files. Turn off Update automatically in settings and it only checks when you ask.

We don’t track you.

No ads, cookies or usage tracking, in the app or on this site. The app doesn’t send crash reports either.

What this website sees.

This site and the downloads are hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website host, it sees your IP address and browser to send you the pages and keep the site safe (its privacy policy). We only see totals, like how many pages were viewed.

On a phone, Send to my Mac uses your phone’s Share button. The link goes straight where you send it, not through us.
