Get the text out of a PDF as Markdown, ready to edit in a text editor or notes app. Rename the file in Finder and Renamable converts it right where it is. Nothing is uploaded.

How to do it.

  1. Select Kickoff notes.pdf in Finder and press Return.
  2. Change .pdf to .md and press Return. If Finder asks, choose “Use .md”.
  3. Renamable converts it right there. The original goes to the Trash, or stays next to the new file if you prefer, and you can undo any conversion.
